Through the years we’ve received thousands of letters from both sexes about male penis size. The subject has been bantered about for centuries. Most people don’t know as much about penises as they should, and that includes you men who have one. We’ve tried to put our heads (the ones above our neck) together to see if we can answer any in ways that make sense. Let’s see if we can answer the age-old question: does size matter?
How do you measure the length of a penis?
Easily one of the most asked questions. Many men are anxious about their penis size. Either through self-deprecation or hearing it from other men and/or women, they want a bigger penis. Besides perceived length, let’s get down to some parameters that may or may not make you feel better. The organ begins just underneath, where it meets the ball sack. If measured from there, it’s often 1 inch longer than when measured from the top. The problem is that some men’s ball sacks start partway down the shaft. We feel that the technicality should be thrown out the window and the ruler placed at the base of the penis, on top! After all, it usually isn’t something men will say they do, and if your woman wants to do it, tell her to put it in her mouth and measure how deep it goes in. Since the “average” size of a fully erect penis is usually around 5 to 6 inches; a large one would be 7 to 8 inches; while huge would be — say — up to 10 inches, and enormous is just about anything above that.
Is thickness more desirable than length?
Some women say yes, and others will say no. Why? Because it depends on their vagina, not your penis. Granted, a thicker penis may seem like it “fills” the vagina; something longer may hit spots that a short thick one doesn’t. Ultimately, we have to say this is a preference call for the woman.
Do large hands, or feet, indicate a larger penis? What about a man’s height?
As far as we know, there is no direct physical correlation between a man’s appendages or nose size or shape. However, a man’s height may directly indicate a bigger penis. But it’s not because of height per se; it’s because bigger men tend to have bigger parts. Hands, feet, and organs are usually larger but directly proportionate to an average man’s parts.
Do men with larger penises have more cum?
Actually, no. Cum, semen, is created in the combination prostate/testicle lineup. There could be a more forceful ejaculation with a bigger penis because of the muscle structure. There is usually more semen ejaculated if the guy hasn’t cum for a while.
We’ve heard that the first four inches inside a woman’s vagina are the most sensitive, so what’s the big deal about length?
Many women say they prefer thickness to length, essentially “proving” the theorem. Unfortunately, we do not know their sexual history to know how long or how thick or thin their partners were. On the other hand, deeper in the vagina are sensitive spots that a longer penis may stimulate, but again, it all seems to be relative and personal.
Does the height of a woman affect the size of a penis she can accommodate?
Yes, it does, or rather, it should. There will be the exception — or should we say, the exceptional — woman who is 5 foot and can easily take a ten or twelve-inch cock. It may not go all the way in, down to the base, but it may be as comfortable as a normal-sized cock.
Is the curve (in some erect penises) normal?
Yes, it is. In reality, very few men have a straight penis. There is usually a small upward curve to it. Many women like that because it will hit or rub against the top of the vaginal wall for additional stimulation. If you think about it, in the missionary position, with the man thrusting in and out, the natural lifting of his hips creates a motion, like a pendulum, and the curved penis’ forward thrusts and withdrawals make for smooth entry. A straight penis tends to point downwards in this position. Now, if your pension is bent, say to the right or the left, that’s not abnormal, it probably just gives your partner a different sensation during sex.
Do women prefer men with a larger penis?
It’s easy to say that they do. But, again, it’s such a subjective preference that it’s a difficult question to answer. What’s missing in this discussion is how well a man wields his organ. Is he good at using it? Do his actions in bed satisfy her as much or even more than the size of the cock? If it’s big and he’s good at using it, then it’s easy to say she’ll be satisfied. It is innately female to want a man who is both big and good with it. That could be part of our species’ natural selection process.
Let’s talk for a minute about oral sex and a large penis. It seems normal to think that a large penis will be challenging to swallow, and it is. Outside of the licking and fondling, downing a large cock is a daunting process that often takes practice. We’re not talking about an oral technique to make the guy cum; just how big a dick she can fit in her mouth. Porn stars often make it look easy because they’ve had a lot of practice on many different and different size cocks.
We talked about deep-throating in our Oral October blog post. It takes perseverance to learn how to loosen those back-of-throat muscles and hold down that gagging reflex when a large cock enters the passageway. By no means was Linda Lovelace the first to deep-throat. It was a changing of American morals at that time, along with mass exposure by way of movies that deep-throating even became acceptable to watch.
